The King of the Jews who Died for our Sins
(Jesus Christ at the Last Supper)
Jesus Christ at the Last Supper commissioned his apostles to become full-fledged priests, whereas no provision for holiness for the laity was, now there would be one. It's known as Eucharist or communion.
Some people portray it as Jesus being the priest and doing the services, but this literal interpretation is heresy. Jesus Christ is NOT a priest; he is the Lord. This is what we went over in the previous blog entry, "Evil Priests, Ex-communication and Purgatory," because people need to beware of their lack of holiness when it comes to the Lord.
(Jesus Christ in the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary)
The reason Jesus Christ is Lord is because of his holiness through martyrdom seen in the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. This mystery is contemplated during the prayers of the Rosary.
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he was simultaneously accused of being "King of the Jews." This maybe the very reason he died; however, God had mercy on him and resurrected him.
(Jesus Christ being resurrected)
Once resurrected, the Kingdom of Heaven is finally secure enough to carry out its mission of doing the Father's will. Since he died to save us from sin, we are graced with the opportunity to participate in God's divine plan through the Church. The only thing preventing us from Holiness now is simply just a matter of our own volition and it's no longer in the hands of fate.
Was Jesus Christ really "King of the Jews" though? The issue regarding the legitimacy of Jesus Christ's throne has been battle between good and evil for over 2,000 years. In order to fulfill prophecy, Jesus has only communicated with believers the truth of the interpretation of the Book of Revelations, instead of disclosing it to anyone. The beginning of Jesus' Lordship began with the ordaining of apostles. One apostle betrayed him though, and it altered Jesus' predestination temporarily, but not permanently. That apostle is known as Judas Iscariot.
(Jesus being betrayed by Judas through a kiss on the cheek)
After Judas betrayed him, our Lord, Jesus Christ, cursed Judas to be fated to suffer pain leaving Judas better off than ever being born. Jesus Christ couldn't be judged for this, because his loss was so much worse than never being born from Judas' betrayal. God then took mercy on Jesus ultimately.
Jesus had lost his kingdom, his family, his friends and his own personhood due to Judas' betrayal, and none of it was warranted, as Jesus Christ really is the Messiah despite the Pharisees' contentions. This is why God couldn't afford to lose Jesus. Not only is Jesus Christ His only son, but he's the only one with the power to lead the people away from the sin that Satan had tempted them into at the Garden of Eden.
(Judas Iscariot's suicide)
Judas, having sold his soul to Satan through betraying Jesus, then committed suicide shortly afterwards and his soul was damned eternally. He's now a demon for Satan's army and a very vicious and evil demon at that. If you ever come across Judas, steer clear! He can't be trusted and has no allegiance with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
So, when they called Jesus Christ, "King of the Jews," it has to be taken with a grain of salt. Jesus was in no shape to rule during his sorrows, and he very well maybe the "King of Jews," but this matter is really for Jesus himself to decide upon, not us.
(Jesus Christ as "The King of Jews")
Personally, I think when Jesus Christ comes back, Christians will be his people, not the Jews. Instead, Jesus may rather enjoy regular people like you and me. He's even stated himself that those who do the Father's will are his family and friends, not just anybody though. He doesn't have an invested interest in the powers of Hell, but rather Heaven's powers. Those of us who relate are the ones who will be raptured clearly, but not anarchists, rebels or heathens.
